During the pre-production process of my film, I recruited someone to be the actor and editor in my film.
Together we discussed ideas and edited the script accordingly.
During the actual production of the film I sat out of frame of the shot and instructed my actor what to do. It went very well, only making a few minor slip-ups.
During post-production my editor prowled through the clips and put the best ones together to make a cohesive movie.
